For inspection purposes, the kit has been disassembled and temporarily secured with bolts and nuts, as shown in the third photo. After removing the bolts and nuts, please install the tensioner onto the engine while lightly pressing with your fingers from the base (silver part) to the washer with black resin under the black cap screw, to prevent the tensioner from coming apart.

The days of fearing sudden plastic failure are over. However, the only remaining wear-and-tear component within this system is the Marelli water pump. Given the physical limits of any water pump’s seals and bearings, we recommend replacing the water pump every 5 years or 50,000km as a key maintenance milestone. Because the drive system itself is built to be indestructible, simply keeping an eye on the cooling system is all it takes to maintain the 1750 TBi engine in its peak condition indefinitely.
